Ableworld Crewe Donate Wheelchair to Lindsay Leg Club Charity

This entry was posted in October 17, 2023

Ableworld Crewe kindly donated one of their wheelchairs to the Lindsay Leg Club Charity. This occurred when a nurse who worked for the NHS mentioned that the Lindsay leg Club Charity was in need of a wheelchair to help get immobile patients up the ramp and into the hospital for their appointments.

Walking to our appointments is something we all take for granted however, for those who experience lower limb problems may not be able to do something as simple as this. Everyone should have the ability to make it to their appointments on time, that’s why when the staff at Ableworld Crewe they quickly began to arrange the donation of a wheelchair.

The Lindsay Leg Club charity are a well-established and important charity to so many people across the country, there are multiple individual Leg clubs based in England such as the Crewe Leg Club located at Pickmere Extra Care. Even though each club will have their own initiatives, they follow the same core principles and guidelines set by the original charity.

Providing community-based treatment, health promotion and education to those around them, this charity provides vital treatment and information about an area of our health that is often overlooked. We feel a strong sense of pride knowing the wheelchair we have provided will help multiple patients make it to their appointments on time.

If you would like more information about the Lindsay Leg Club charity then click the following Link https://www.legclub.org/. Please, stay up to date with Ableworld Crewe as they launch a Christmas raffle to help raise money for the Macmillan unit based at Leighton hospital.

Ableworld Crewe Act of Kindness Day

This entry was posted in February 23, 2023

Our stores across the nation took a pro active role in the Random Act of Kindness day 17th February. Our stores gave out small gifts ranging from flowers to chocolates to randomly selected customers from their stores, it was amazing to be able to put a smile on so many people’s faces!

We love creating strong bonds with our customers and Ableworld wanted an excuse to spoil our customers and really aim to make someone’s day. Afterall, who doesn’t love flowers and chocolates!

Our Crewe store wanted to surprise two customers, one who had just bought a Dorchester Riser Recliner. Crewe store delivered the Dorechester but the customer wasn’t there to receive them. The box of chocolates returned to the store, waiting for its next opportunity. That was when luckily her grandson happened to walk through the door accepting the chocolates on her behalf!

The second customer Mary Kent received a bouquet of flowers from our amazing team of staff at Crewe. Mary was so happy with her flowers she even sent our Crewe store a lovely card thanking them for the beautiful gift. Our employees at the Crewe store were so happy to hear that the gift had brought Mary so much joy.

Crewe store wanted to thank the amazing recipients of the gifts for being such wonderful customers, we hope to carry on providing the best service we can.

Ableworld Crewe Visit Willowmere Extra Care Housing

This entry was posted in February 20, 2023

The Ableworld Crewe Store have been busy in the last few months. Their store manager Karen and her team have worked hard to build relationships with the local care homes in and around Crewe. With the help from our Nantwich store manager and one of our local engineers they held another successful event at Willowmere Extra Care Housing.

Wilowmere offers support to elderly and disabled adults who are in need of extra care and attention with everyday living. Willowmere has a total of 71 apartments for residents, offering a wide range of amenities and activities for them to enjoy.

It was Ableworld’s honor to hold our first event at Willowmere on the 10th Feb. We managed to offer a wide range of advice and information on all things Ableworld! It is exciting to announce that Karen and her team will be back to hold a Scooter Proficiency event in a few months’ time.

The success of the event was all thanks to the amazing duo that is Julie and Karen who do such an amazing job at representing the best of Ableworld. Our engineer Richard was also there to provide key information in regards to mobility maintenance, as well as checking over a few products brought to him by residents.

We want to thank all of the amazing residents that took this opportunity to familiarise themselves with our products and services. It makes these events so rewarding when we have residents engaging with us, asking questions and being proactive in their search for more independence.

As a rule, our staff advise and assess potential customers to find the right product for them. We hand them the relevant information so the choice to purchase an item is solely made by the customer, this has been a part of Ableworlds ethics from day one.

When one of our stores hold a successful event like this one, it makes the hard work and effort worth it. These are really small commitments our stores can make which could end up meaning a lot to residents living in care homes across the nation, we want to make it our mission to reach as many people as possible.

If you are interested in holding an Ableworld event at your care home then call our Crewe store on 01270 255 725. If you want to visit a local Ableworld Store then find us using our Store Finder page.
